chats and cuts ambassadors

We've launched our initiative in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, and there are five hairdressers and barbers who are currently chats and cuts ambassadors: The Cutter; MADE Men; MADE Women; Brown and Whitehead presents Uppercuts and Kenny Arnold.

Each business has whole-team involvement and are committed to empathetically supporting young people.

We have also teamed up with Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England to ensure that each chats and cuts hairdressers or barbers has at least one MHFA England-trained Ambassador for Children and Young People.

who we are

We're Sam and Sarah, co-founders of chats and cuts.

We launched our community initiative in
November 2023 to upskill hairdressers and barbers to have conversations with young people about their mental health during a haircut.

Through chats and cuts, our passion for social change can empower hair professionals with the skills and confidence to help strengthen a young person's sense of self-worth.
